Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit

Carry Concealed Weapon Permit Application

*Must be at least 19 years of age to apply or the age of 18 with Military I.D.

New Application

Before you can apply for a concealed weapon permit you must have the following:

Appointment only.

*Call ahead to insure shortest possible wait times

*(573) 378-5481 ext. 1215 (Emma Young).

*Proof of training from a qualified firearms safety instructor.

*Valid Missouri Driver’s License, Non-Driver’s License, or Military I.D.

*Fee is a Money Order, Personal Check, or Cash (the exact amount, since we do not do change) for $60.00 payable to the Morgan County Treasurer.

*Proof of residency (Example: voter registration, electric bill).

* If you are transferring from Out of State, you MUST take a Missouri CCW Class in order to receive your Missouri CCW Card.

* If you take an Online CCW Course, you MUST go to a gun range, and qualify. You should receive a Certificate for shooting.

* No Credit/Debit Cards.

Renewal Application

Before you can renew for a concealed weapon permit you must have the following:

*Must set up appointment for renewals (573)378-5481 ext. 1215 (Emma Young)

*You may renew your CCW permit up to 30 days before the expiration date.

*Please provide your current CCW License.

*Valid Missouri Driver’s License, Non-Driver’s License, or Military I.D.

*Proof of residency (Example: voter registration, electric bill).

*Renewal Applications are $50.00 for 5 years, must be a Personal Check or Money Order/Cashier’s Check.

*If your license has expired, please add $10.00 for every month that you are late, up to 6 months from renewal.

*If your license is over 6 months expired, you must re-apply. You do NOT have to retake the CCW class.

*If you are from a different County, and renewing your card, please let us know in advance, so that we can call the County you are transferring from to receive your paperwork.

You may carry a concealed weapon, (example: knife, firearm, blackjack, or another weapon readily capable of lethal use) except where restricted or posted off-limits with appropriate signage.
